A Mommy's Broken Heart
So, our nephew Spencer (on Nate's side) comes down from Couer D'Alene, Idaho to stay with Grama and Grampa for a week every summer. This is the week and so Aubree is staying over there or at Jade's a lot to play and take part in all the activities Grama has planned. Sunday night she stayed at Jade's and then last night she was going to Grama's with all the kids for a sleep over and then a movie day today. I was missing her so much last night but I didn't want to call to tell her goodnight, just in case she was going to do the "I want you" thing. But at 10:00 ring, ring went my phone and it was my little baby crying saying......yep, you guessed it "I want you". I was secretly kind of happy, (don't tell anybody though). Two nights in a row is hard for me. She has only stayed away from us for more than one night a handful of times and YES, I do know that she is seven and that I am not going to die. Anyway.....I tell her that I will come and get her so by now it is 10:30 and I am on may to Ogden to pick up my little baby that wants her Mom (I just love it!!!!). I am all the way to Roy and my phone rings again, I was fully expecting "How long Mom?" but no, it was Grama saying she is sound asleep. What a little stinker!!! She was asleep and I had to go back home and miss her.....I was sad. I did tell her a little white lie this morning though, I told her that I came to get her and in her sleep she said she wanted to stay and she said "No, I didn't, I still wanted you to take me". She will live and so will I.....I think.

Funny thing...I just finished typing a tale on our round table about how I went to Butte to pick up Katy and Jon because she called with a sad story about their bus ride. They only had 63 more miles to go, but when your baby needs you... (Before you judge us, just think about no air conditioner on the bus, they couldn't even sit together and she had to hold the toilet door closed on turns!)
NO!!!! That is terrible. I would have gone and gotten them if they called me too!!! Once your baby always your baby!!
Uh yeah,you forgot the part where she was patting my back at 3 in the morning saying "MY mom didn't come get me" as little Coco held her hand. My heart would of been broken too if it wasn't 3 A.M.! All was well though as I pulled her up onto my bed,and confirmed your little white lie.
LOL!!! I know Trish, thank you so much, my poor baby.
