Easy Bake at Grandma's

Every other Friday Aubree goes to Nate's Moms house AKA Grandma Trish's. Aubree loves to go there, I think it may have something to do with being spoiled out of her mind and being able to do anything she wants at anytime. The best part is that Trish really plays with her and does anything Aubree wants. She definitely rules the roost over there. We are so thankful for both of Nate's parents, they never miss an activity, a dance recital or a soccer game. They are awesome grandparents and Aubree is lucky to have them.

FRIGHTMARES

On Sunday we went to Frightmares at Lagoon. Thank goodness for Darby and being so nice in giving Aubree and I discount tickets so it only costs an arm to go instead of an arm and a leg. We went with Darby and Kenlee and even though there is a big age difference between the two girls they have so much fun together. Darby and I had my our feelings hurt on more than one occasion because they didn't want us to ride anything with them. If it was a big ride that they had to ride with an adult they were seriously bugged that they had to ride with their "Moms".... stinkers!!!! It was a perfect day though, the weather was perfect and the lines were short.

Yes, her hair is even shorter. Don't tell anybody but I accidentally took her to Dollar Cuts. Which is usually fine because I know the girl that owns the salon and she is awesome and has been doing hair for years and years...... BUT, she wasn't there so I just let some other girl do it and it was so not OK. I took her back in to have Michelle fix it which she did happily but it had to go a lot shorter than I would have liked. Everybody that sees it says it is darling and it is. It's just a little shorter than what I would have chosen. It is pretty hard to make my daughter not be cute because she just is, so I guess I won't worry.

To the Pumpkin Patch with Pre-School

On Tuesday Ryker and Aubree got to go to Black Island Farms Pumpkin Patch with their Pre-School class. It is one of the best ones around, I know it is far out in Syracuse but it is definitely worth the trip. Aunt T and Baby Kam got to go too (Thanks Aunt T for the pictures) I couldn't go because of work, darn it!!!! They got to pick out their own pumpkins right from the field, they have farm animals to look at, blow up bounce houses, a giant slide made out of hay bales and a fun little train ride for the little ones. They had a blast and can't wait to carve their pumpkins.

Princess Kiera

There are only a handful of people that make me feel ancient. One of them is my niece Kiera. She is a senior at Northridge High and is one of the most gorgeous girls I know, inside and out. I really feel like her hair should still be in pig tails and she should be playing with dolls but it's true she is 17 years old, I can't believe it. She was voted Homecoming Princess which means she was 1st runner up to the Queen. In our book she is the queen and we love her to death.

THE FIRST SNOW DAY OF 2008

Sunday was our first snowfall of the year (like you all didn't notice). It was pretty surprising that there was enough to actually play in. Ryker and Baby Kam came over so that DJ and Tara could paint their basement with out "helpers". They started the day off with getting all bundled up from head to toe to go outside and basically........eat snow. Every time I looked outside they both had a fist full of snow going to town like they haven't eaten in 2 weeks. The usual threat of "Molly peed on that snow" didn't even phase them. They had fun though and so did our little neighbor Marcus and of course Molly thinks the snow is a ball so she is always game for playing in the snow.

Ryker's hat kept falling down and he couldn't see. I had Kamryn in my arms and told him to come up the stairs so I could fix his hat, he kept yelling up to me "Where are you, Ninny? Help me!" I was laughing so hard I could barely keep it together so he didn't get mad.
Just having another snack here, a little yellow snow never hurt anybody, I think?
You always have to finish off a day in the snow with a hot bubble bath.
Is she the cutest thing ever? She is so precious and such a sweet baby, she melts my heart!

After playing out side they came in for a snack and to do some Halloween projects. Just so everybody knows- you can buy a ton of stuff from Dollar Tree. I went there last night and got a ton of foamies, colored popsicle sticks, googly eyes and pom poms. They glue the stuff all over with glue sticks (which aren't very messy) and you would think that they created a master piece. It is really cheap and the kids love it.

This was snack time. They wanted to cook something to eat and in an attempt to discourage that I gave them a bunch of stuff on a paper towel and told them to create their snacks. They had peanut butter on crackers with marshmallows on them. Yum Yummy!! Aubree even put a carrot on top. What ever it takes it get them to eat a vegetable right?
This is our neighbor Marcus, Aubree loves to play with him so it was great to have him join our snow day activities.

Fishing Fun

I know I have been so bad and doing new posts. Time just gets away from you when you are busy. I feel like we have been so busy lately. We decided to take a Saturday afternoon and do some fishing. You know I am not a big fan of the outdoors but opinions change when your kid loves it so much. It is worth going just to see how proud Nate is that Aubree loves it as much as he does. We went up the canyon to Birch Creek or Burch Creek, don't quite know how to spell it but we did have a lot of fun even though we didn't catch any fish. We got lots of bites but couldn't hook anything. Aubree lost her drive quickly and her attention turned to throwing rocks in the water which I have been told doesn't make catching fish any easier. We had a lot of fun and Molly loved it too. She was a stinky mess when we got home but the 2 hours it takes to brush her out and bath her was worth it.

Nobody needs to tell me how cute I am with no makeup and the zit on my chin.

1st Day of School......

.....pre-school that is. It is that time of year again, all of the kids are heading back to school. Last year we went months and months with a melt down at the door. She wanted me to come to school with her or she wanted to come to work with me. This morning was a different story completely. Maybe she was showing off a little for Bubba. Ryker is going to pre-school with Aubree this year and they are both so excited. I also included a few pictures of her long beautiful hair right before we cut it last Wednesday. She has the most tender head and I couldn't go through the tears (hers or mine) of trying to do her hair anymore. So-we chopped it off. She looks so cute but so grown up. She thinks she is pretty dang cool and keeps asking me if her hair is still fluffed up. I love it!!!!
